I went there for my birthday on a Saturday. Didn't have a booking but they squeezed us in. Even managed to put us on the balcony. The staff was very professional and friendly. The service was amazing and I loved the food. It's pretty hard to find options for vegetarians in Cairns. This restaurant has so many options! Loved it!! 2 staff members even came to sing happy birthday when they brought the dessert... Thanks again for the good time!

One of the must try places in Cairns. The atmosphere at Yaya is warm and welcoming — with rustic decor and modern touches that made the space feel both authentic and vibrant. Very attentive, friendly atmosphere. It was one of the best Greek dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We were all so happy after the dinner at Friday evening. Highly recommended must try and will visit again.

Such an amazing Greek spot in Cairns. Everything we ordered was genuinely delicious,the zucchini chips, the veggie moussaka, and the chicken were all incredible. It really tasted like proper, home-style Greek comfort food. The place has a warm, cosy Greek vibe, and the staff make you feel so welcome. And Kostas Such a great person ,kind, warm, and greeting you with a smile :). Truly excellent and highly recommended :)

Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely delicious food! We loved the mixed dips (4 types) with bread. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection with a golden crispy exterior and tender inside. George's Tigano was seafood - fish, clams, mussels, prawns, calamari - cooked in a rich tomato broth. We wiped up every last bit of the gravy with bread! Fried whitebait, small and crispy. My personal favourite was the Yemista - a capsicum and tomato stuffed with rice and herbs, served with salad. 😍😍 Paired with white wine and moscato. What a satisfying first meal in Cairns! 🤤🤤 We couldn't eat anymore so we packed a patitsio (like a baked pasta) and MORE fried calamari!

Absolutely fantastic Greek spot in the heart of Cairns. If you are ever nearby, I highly recommend checking out this lovely restaurant. I couldn’t tell you what my favourite part of my meal was because, to be frank, every mouthful was absolutely extraordinary. I’m not usually one for dessert, but I insist on the baklava and the galaktoboureko from this place. Divine. The interior of the restaurant perfectly embodies Mediterranean charm, and the staff are all extremely attentive and welcoming. Kostas is an absolute gem, and is just the kind of person you want running the ship. Excellent.

This is my first time trying Greek food, kosta greet us in the beginning and give us a good table. The service is really good! I don't know whats his name, but the guy that serving us is really nice. I have a good dinner in here, and i would like to recommend the feast one. You can try everything from entree until dessert! Efharisto!

We had the 11 course option and the food and service was spectacular like always. Ive had the 11 course dinner several times and it has always been consistent and delicious. Me and my partner were super hungry when we arrived, and we left super full!! The service was efficient even though it was busy, every dish was well paced and the staff were very attentive without being disruptive. Highly recommended Yaya's! And the Baclava was perfect

We had a lovely night out at Yaya’s for my friend’s birthday. We were greeted by Kosta and our server was lovely. We started with the Taramasalata, which is one of the best I’ve ever had. Tried the cheese croquettes on the special, which were crisped well but maybe a bit bland. The lamb cigars were awesome though. We then shared the grilled octopus, which was so tender and smokey, and the seafood plate, which had one of the nicest pieces of grilled fish I’ve had for ages! Overall a very tasty meal

Hubby and I dined here tonight (Monday) and had a wonderful evening. Kosta the manager was super friendly and the waitresses were polite and very efficient. We had the Yayas Feast banquet, and every dish was authentic Greek and absolutely delicious. Our table was on the balcony and we enjoyed the view while sipping ouzo and also listening to Greek music. I loved it!
